I'll just get the first thing out of the way: SNOOOOWW OMG SQUEEEEEE! ♥♥♥ It's been snowing for about a day now and the scenery went from dark and well, sort of dull into this beautiful white all over *_* It's also pretty much night time here, so it just adds to the whole thing. This is my absolute favorite weather, although I'm sure this snow will still melt away completely.

Some other things that have happened after... erm, April. *cough* I really don't write here much even though I'm on Livejournal a lot.

I've gotten into J-dorama. Lord have mercy. I blame Takashi Tsukamoto and his dimples.

There's a second cat in the house. I haven't told it before that we had one to begin with, but anyhow. The first cat's name is Miu, [I feel like I need to point out that I didn't name either of these kitties, while I was the one who maintained they kept their names. Both of these cats have had previous owners of at least 2-ish years.] he's a black and white tomcat. Bit of a fatso, but it's our own fault for feeding him too much chicken cold cuts. Recently he's gotten skinnier. Which brings me to our little girl, the completely black Luna. We got her at the beginning of summer. She's a lively little thing, will sit in your lap and also drive you to insanity.

Introducing these two to each other was a little tricky. Miu came home inside and saw Luna, went up to her and started sniffing her face. After some seconds she swatted at him and they've pretty much been in a love-hate relationship ever since. Usually it's Luna who attacks Miu. So Miu comes in from outside, Luna jumps onto his neck and starts biting, fighting ensues. Crazy. In her defense, nowadays she sometimes also starts licking him, and he her - and it's adorable to watch. Granted that they'll always start fighting and chasing each other after awhile.

Hello again, Internet.

I have nothing that new and exciting to report, though. It's already been a year since I started this journal and I haven't even used it that much.

But today I figured I'd tell you about my brain numbing class of 3D modeling. I cannot figure it out. We get these assignments to do, and the instructions on how to do them. And they're good instructions, but the thing is, they're for a previous version of the program so some things have been changed around a bit. I think I'm also making them on a different scale since I can't seem to use the grids to my advantage. In any case it all ended with me frowning at the instructions, wanting to kick the computer and the final perpetual feeling like my face was frozen in a zombie-like staring expression (with few brain functions behind the eyes).

So I went and bought junk food. Mayonnaise... ♥


I kind of want to change my layout. I think I have a nice one chosen, next I have to tweak it a bit and it should be good to go. We'll see how soon I'll actually get to it.

(One thing I've noticed about MUCC's blog: I didn't check it for the first two-three months of this year, and Miya seems to have started updating more often. What happened there? He's not even blogging about food that much anymore :D)

So it's almost December. A few things off the top of my head:

We have snow! The first snowfall this season was around Halloween, but I think this snow will actually stay. This is a good thing, apart from the fact that I'll have to start digging the car out of snow and scraping the windows before driving. Oh, and I'll have to pay extra attention to not slide into a ditch, or the car in front of me. But I love winter, it means I can get xmas chocolate and glögi again ♥
[EDIT] Here's to hoping there won't be any snow-related electricity blackouts.

And Uroboros is pretty kickass. I haven't spent a proper amount of time yet to really listen to it all the way through, but so far my two favorites from it are Ware, yami to te and Inconvenient Ideal. In this connection I will have to mention, though, that having to pay customs is a bitch.

I have since learned that the lady in question is not the most liked one around, anyway. She has a habit of slacking off, being generally slow and, dare I say it, dimwitted. One can only guess why she was the one assigned to show me around.


rivetspoon, I'm sorry I haven't been helping around with the blog translations lately. I intend to get back on it as soon as I stop lazing around.

In case anyone is wondering, the subject line translates pretty much to "despite all this, good [rest of the] evening!". I think it used to be a sort of a finishing line for a comedy show from years and years ago.

Dear co-worker,

tomorrow is my third day at this job. So far I can't do some things properly but I'm hopefully learning more every day. That being said, you are pretty much the only person at the spot besides me, and if I ask you a goddamn question, you FUCKING ANSWER IT and don't start rambling about something that has little to do with anything I've just said. You're not helping.

Also, I don't care if you overslept on Saturday; that happens. But don't make excuses about your car dying when you came to work on Friday with your bicycle to begin with. I was told to be there at 6.30 am. I called the supervisor at almost 7, when I found out I was only supposed to be there at 7 anyway, then was told to wait for a while more for you to show up, you didn't, and I called back and could start working an hour after I'd arrived. It also caused the fact that I was still not done when I should have been. The next time this happens, I'll start without you immediately.

I would have no problem with this work at all (I think I might actually enjoy it) if only everyone knew what the hell they were doing.

Maybe if I actually paid attention to it for once, by the end of the summer I could:

• Learn to read Japanese dates. Month names have some logic in them, at least, but specific dates? So far the only ones I can remember off the top of my head are 一日, 九日, and 七日 (tsuitachi, kokonoka, nanoka).


• Learn to read the Cyrillic alphabet. I don't really care about understanding what the text means, I just want to know the letters. I don't really know why, either.

I'm supposed to be making a website for a school assignment. I'm in the right sort of mood, aka in a sugar rush, but the problem is that I'll have to wait for the teacher to answer an e-mailed question before I can continue (unless I want to fix coding afterwards).

Just sucks because right now I should also be doing another school assignment involving a report originally meant to be done by a group. Which I've smartly left until the last possible week x_x

So. How I came by this video is, on Wednesday I was mucking about on my laptop, with the tv open. Suddenly I hear something that catches my attention on the tv, and turn my head, see Miya, and almost let my tea run down my chin.

The program was K-rappu, rerun, on Yle 1, and the people were discussing cultural differences. They bring up J-rock after about 11 minutes into the show (which is 40 minutes long). That section lasts maybe half a minute.

This is the download link to the whole program. There's a .rar file with two files; click the .asx one to view it. Trust me, if I could've figured out how to cut out the part about MUCC and just post that, I would have, but I'm too stupid for that.

Here's also the link to the streaming video at YLE website. It's only there until [Tuesday] 29th April 2008, 19:20 Finnish time, and it's only viewable to people in Finland.
